#1 setting up of access server failed still working on it ... i could telnet the server easily but i wanted to set up access server seeing from jermy in cbt .. may be we need to have some real hard ware i guess ... i saw chris bryant site to set up access server everything was fine in the console configuration

but

accessserver(config-line)transport input (instead of input i was getting out / preferred options so here i was missing the set up of access server )

#2 now coming to concepts ... i had few doubts on fd , ad and got cleared ..

k..

i learnt the basic concepts

they are

eigrp tables

eigrp packets

eigrp k values

and important point is that only two k values are used in calculation of path / cost .... the other three are not used ..and for two networks to talk to each other the important point would be same k values match . any mismatch would make topologies / routers ignore other router's packets

fd / ad part

implementation of eigrp with auto summary option on / off

loop backs(these are really handy for me instead of setting loop backs from vpcs / microsofts loop backs )

aliases (these were the tricks told by jermy in cbt ccie and worked great for me)

aliases (write once copy every where .. this i the beautiful step i dint even knew that copying and pasting can be done and all configs such as aliases and console preferences in one copy paste go wooooow thanks to scott morris )

ip default network and its output

ip 0.0.0.0 network ....

eigrp show commands ... important being the #show ip eigrp topo (alias is siet)

show ip route (ailas is sir hehe)

and editing of band width and delay for load balancing / for disturbing load balancing

the following is the newtork diagram and its configs

i advice the beginners to follow how i has written configurations and details about interfaces it really helped me and i was not wasting my time ...

and a small interface config with alias

control-plane
!
alias exec siib show ip int brief
alias exec sip show ip proto
alias exec sr show run
alias exec sir show ip route
alias exec siet show ip eigrp topo
alias exec si show inter
alias exec l loopback

line con 0
exec-timeout 0 0
logging synchronous
line aux 0
